StockWiz Forum > Stockwiz5 installation problem

Hi there,

I registered already twice to get my free copy of StockWiz5, but apart from two automated messages in my mail box, I haven't seen anything for my effort.

Therefore I downloaded http://www.stockwiz.org/StockWiz5.zip and tried to execute StockWiz5.exe but the installer crashes with the error message that PEGRP32C.DLL is missing...

Any ideas to help me on my way? My OS is Windows XP and I have a StockWiz version 3 already installed. (Been using it for years now for trading French stocks.)

Thanks in advance!

Sorry about the delay. All pending requests for the free subscription have now been processed - and you should have received instructions on how to download the software. The StockWiz5.zip file that you are referring to in your post, is for users that need to upgrade and that zip file does not contain any of the needed support libraries - thus the error message.

StockWiz 5 uses a different database engine and therefore you can run StockWiz 3 and StockWiz 5 at the same time - without one interfering with the other. You can exchange data between the two by first exporting the price data as split-unadjusted and then importing that into StockWiz 5. You can then do the same for split and fundamental data.
